TEP Tenants Kick Off Summer with Grill and Chill Event
To officially kick off summer, community members of Technology Enterprise Park (TEP) gathered outside on the building’s front lawn to partake in a fun-filled afternoon of burgers, beverages, and of course, bonding.
As the festivities commenced, the aroma of the grill firing up wafted through the air, drawing in a crowd of over 220 TEP tenants, each eager to indulge in the feast and the fun. Engaging games, including Connect Four, Jenga, and Corn Hole, were scattered throughout the green area as well, prompting both a little friendly competition and a plethora of excitement from the participants.
The atmosphere was buzzing with camaraderie as colleagues and acquaintances greeted both familiar and fresh faces, their unparalleled enthusiasm palpable. And amidst all the merriment, as conversations flowed, so did some interesting insights surrounding the community. Notably, the sustainable chemical used in the new Starbucks cup was developed by none other than Kemira, showcasing the remarkable innovation within the Technology Enterprise Park's ecosystem. It was inspiring to witness the fruits of cutting-edge research and development being integrated into everyday products, from our very own neighborhood.
Most importantly, the event served a greater purpose beyond just orchestrating a memorable gathering. Yes, it was a great way for people to relax and unwind while forging new connections and it showcased the spirit of innovation and collaboration thriving within the building. But it also marked a significant step towards bringing the TEP community together again, especially after the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. And as Science Square construction continues to progress, more events like these, aimed at fueling the sense of togetherness, will carry the community forward into an exciting future.
