Trivia Tethers Tenants Together

On a beautiful fall (well almost, the autumn equinox was the day after) day, we invited community members at Technology Enterprise Park (TEP) outside during lunch to enjoy the perfect weather while getting to know fellow tenants over a fun game of trivia.

While attendees waited in line for some savory southern comfort food from C-Bo's BBQ food truck, they scanned a QR code to play a quick game of trivia, with the intent being to introduce them to the exciting work being done within their building!

1. Which of the following life-changing technologies does Abbott produce?

  1. Cardiovascular Care Technology

  2. Diabetes Care Technology

  3. Diagnostics Technology

  4. Neuromodulation Care Technology

  5. Nutrition Technology

2. Earlier this year, VERO Biotech's GENOSYL Delivery System was recognized as a "Technological Breakthrough" at Premier, Inc.'s annual supplier innovation celebration. What does this technology do?

  1. Treat dermatology patients suffering from psoriasis.

  2. Treat patients with cardiopulmonary conditions.

  3. Treat inhaled nitric oxide (NO) treatment.

3. Kemira utilizes their chemistry expertise in which of the following fields?

  1. Food

  2. Water.

  3. Paper and Pulp

  4. Oil and Gas

  5. Atmospheric purification

4. Where does the Georgia Tech Biomedical Engineering graduate program rank nationally?

  1. First

  2. Second

Some participants gave it their best shot with the knowledge they had, whereas others found employees from other companies to collaborate (something we love to see!). Ultimately, this led to new connections amongst the tenants and new people to sit with during their lunch hour.

Another, yet unexpected, connection occurred that afternoon as well. Members of the Science Square construction team also joined in on the conversation! They have been working across the street for months, but most didn't know about the work taking place at TEP, so this was a great opportunity to have them interact with the tenants and learn more about the work happening inside the building.

And while this particular event was more fun than educational, it highlighted how most community members didn’t know others outside of their organization, nor did they realize how much their work actually has in common with one another. Not to mention, it reminded attendees that even the lunch hour can be an opportunity to connect with others – new and old – and collaboration can also spark at any time!
